Unlike anywhere else in Western Michigan (or the US for that matter), Macatawa is one of a kind.

Laden with grand dame cottages, Macatawa brings guests back in time. The community (composed of two large dunes and one "flatland" area, home to Kemah) is known for being one large family-- in Macatawa, everyone knows everyone, and we like it that way.

For many, like Kemah's owners, the area is home to generations of family members. Children that once played on the beach as kids return as adults with their own families, nostalgic & eager to provide their children with summers reminiscent of simpler times. Michiganders & Lake Michigan-ites will appreciate that Macatawa Park and the greater Holland area is one of few places on the eastern side of the Lake Michigan that has not experienced severe erosion over the past few years.

Those from the coasts will be shocked that our beautiful beach, just one step out of Kemah's front door, boasts soft white sand and warm, clean water. Above all, we want our guests to know that Kemah is a family-oriented place. We are excited to open up our home in this hidden gem of Western Michigan.
